Friends since before prehistory, inseparable, eager to conquer the world, to save the planet... BLAH, BLAH BLAH.

It sounds very romantic, and of course there is a lot of truth in what was mentioned about this beginning, but the truth is that it was a long tail of factors. Above all, these two childhood friends met precisely at one of the meteoric moments of changes in their existence.
We realized that this game called LIFE has an expiration date and we thought something was missing.

I believe that at some point in life we all find ourselves at the crossroads of whether to follow our instincts and dreams, even if fear paralyzes us, or This time it was not like that.

Now it was the beginning of ØKRE.

Gastronomy and adventure. We thought, in fact, that one could not live without the other.

If, in our daily lives, the search for new flavors, recipes, and culinary experiments was essential, why not bring these flavors to our most remote trips?

We knew there were options for our bikepacking, trekking, ski mountaineering, or surfing trips, although often, it seemed more like survival food than a recipe to commemorate the effort made.

We knew that the flavor of our recipes couldn't come from magic powders. It had to remind us of our grandmother's stews and the excitement of knowing that "it's time to eat."

Every adventure deserves to be remembered with flavors, and vice versa.

We are among those who believe that every adventure involves facing the unknown, taking steps without the certainty of what the next foot will find. We love adventure, and even more so when eating well.

And so ØKRE was born. In the uncertainty of what this leap into the void will bring us, but with the certainty that life is an adventure that must be nourished.
